Dopo un breve periodo lontano dalle gare, le atlete del Team Top Girls Fassa Bortolo saranno nuovamente in gruppo nel weekend di Pasqua. La squadra trevigiana sarà impegnata su ben tre fronti, il più importante dei quali sarà senza dubbio il G.P Feminin de Chambery (FRA – 1.1).

Sabato 16 aprile saranno tre le ragazze impegnate nella gara Open di Ponte a Egola (PI). Matteo Varago, direttore sportivo per questa trasferta toscana, potrà contare su Giorgia Bariani, Vanessa Michieletto e Iris Monticolo. 63,8 i km da percorrere, con partenza prevista alle ore 11.00 del mattino.

Domenica 17 aprile, giorno di Pasqua, la squadra diretta da Lucio Rigato sarà al via dell’ormai classico G.P Feminin de Chambery. Le ragazze scelte avranno il difficile compito di cercare di ripetere l’ottima prestazione del 2021, in cui dominarono la gara dovendo però accontentarsi delle prime tre posizioni ai piedi del gradino più alto del podio. Al via ci saranno Greta Marturano, Debora Silvestri, Cristina Tonetti, Giorgia Vettorello, Alessia Vigilia e Tatiana Guderzo, che farà il suo debutto stagionale.

Infine, lunedì 18 aprile la squadra sarà quasi al completo nella Open di Monselice (PD), con Virginia Bortoli che prenderà il posto di Tatiana Guderzo.

Lucio Rigato: “Dopo un primo mese di gare molto impegnativo, abbiamo avuto alcune settimane di pausa in questa prima metà di aprile. Pausa che ci ha permesso di lavorare sulla condizione atletica delle ragazze, ma anche di recuperare alcune delle assenti per infortunio. Diciamo che è stata una pausa apprezzata e che ci ha dato modo di affinare alcuni dettagli che ci torneranno utili nei prossimi due mesi, che per noi saranno ricchi di impegni. Adesso, però, non vediamo l’ora di metterci nuovamente alla prova. Abbiamo deciso di prendere parte a tre corse questa settimana, per dare la possibilità a tutte di correre due volte; l’appuntamento di maggiore rilievo è sicuramente quello di Chambery, di cui abbiamo anche degli ottimi ricordi. E’ una gara che si addice molto alla nostra squadra e potremo contare, inoltre, sull’apporto di Tatiana che finalmente debutterà con i nostri colori: sarà per noi un plus, e siamo convinti che l’esperienza e il talento che porterà nel nostro gruppo faranno la differenza. Nei mesi scorsi abbiamo avuto diversi problemi fisici all’interno della squadra, ma ora le ragazze sono quasi tutte recuperate e siamo curiosi di vedere a che punto siamo. Questo weekend sarà un importante test per noi, in vista delle numerose gare a tappe a cui prenderemo parte nel mese di maggio”.

THREE RACES IN THE EASTER WEEKEND. GUDERZO TO DEBUT IN FRANCE

After a short rest period, the girls of the Top Girls Fassa Bortolo Team will be back in the group over the Easter weekend. The Treviso team will be involved on three fronts, the most important of which will undoubtedly be G.P Feminin de Chambery (FRA – 1.1).

On Saturday 16 April three girls will be involved in the Open competition in Ponte a Egola (PI). Matteo Varago, sporting director for this Tuscan trip, will be able to count on Giorgia Bariani, Vanessa Michieletto and Iris Monticolo. 63.8 km to go, with departure scheduled at 11.00 in the morning.

Sunday 17 April, Easter day, the team led by Lucio Rigato will be at the start of the now classic G.P Feminin de Chambery. The girls chosen will have the difficult task of trying to repeat the excellent performance of 2021, in which they dominated the race but had to settle for the top three positions at the foot of the top step of the podium. At the start there will be Greta Marturano, Debora Silvestri, Cristina Tonetti, Giorgia Vettorello, Alessia Vigilia and Tatiana Guderzo, who will make her seasonal debut.

Finally, on Monday 18 April the team will be almost complete in the Monselice Open (PD), with Virginia Bortoli taking over from Tatiana Guderzo.

Lucio Rigato: “After a very demanding first month of racing, we had a few weeks off in this first half of April. A break that allowed us to work on the athletic condition of the girls, but also to make up for some of those absent due to injury. Let’s say that it was an appreciated break and that it gave us the opportunity to refine some details that will be useful to us in the next two months, which will be full of commitments for us. Now, however, we can’t wait to put ourselves to the test again. We have decided to take part in three races this week, to give everyone the opportunity to race twice; the most important appointment is certainly that of Chambery, of which we also have excellent memories. It is a competition that suits our team very much and we will also be able to count on the contribution of Tatiana who will finally debut with our colors: it will be a plus for us, and we are convinced that the experience and talent she will bring to ours group will make a difference. In recent months we have had several physical problems within the team, but now the girls are almost all recovered and we are curious to see where we are. This weekend will be an important test for us, in view of the many stage races we will take part in in May ”.
